Frühlingserwachen


Also hier findet der Frühling strikt im Hause statt. Ich kann es kaum fassen - gestern abend fing es wieder an zu schneien! Und auch gerade eben erlebten wir wieder einen heftigen Schneeschauer. Da hört man immer von der globalen Erwärmung, aber mal ehrlich, hier ist nicht viel davon zu merken! Man hat das Gefühl, die Natur scharrt förmlich mit den Hufen, aber außen Schneeglöckchen und ein paar besonders mutigen Krokussen hat sich noch nichts getan. Ich warte ganz sehnsüchtig auf die Mandelblüte.

Spring, so far, is only happening indoors. I seem to have written that before... Really, I can hardly believe it, but yesterday evening it started snowing again. We just had a snow shower. You can read everywhere about global warming - honestly, I cannot see it here anywhere! You get the feeling that nature is just itching to let loose but so far only snowdrops and some very adventurous crocuses can be seen. I am longing for the almond trees to bloom.

Same here Angelika, we also had snow yesterday, quite a reasonable coverby the time the kids got up, you should have heard them complaining! and there's more forecast for the end of the week!
sigh... your indoor 'spring' is looking good!

Indoor spring better than no spring ;) Here in Virgina (US) we do not plant tomatoes until the middle of May, when the danger of frost is well past! The birds are chirping and that is very nice!
