Ausstellung

Heute nachmittag hatte ich Aufsicht in der Ausstellung unserer Patchworkgruppe. Bei der Gelegenheit fiel mit ein, daß ich noch gar nicht von der Vernissage berichtet habe. Dabei wurde diese wirklich sehr schön mit Reden, Musik und Sektempfang begangen, und sogar der Bürgermeister der Stadt war anwesend. Ich gehöre dieser Gruppe seit etwa 12 Jahren an - so ganz genau weiß ich es ehrlich gesagt nicht. Im vergangenen Jahr hatten wir unsere 25. Ausstellung,das ist für eine deutsche Gruppe ganz beachtlich. Wer uns besuchen möchte findet uns in Grünstadt in der Pfalz im Altenheim (Nähe Amtsgericht). Es gibt auch einen wunderschönen Quilt zu gewinnen! (Es ist nicht der vom Bild.)



This afternoon I watched over my patchwork group's exhibition. I realized that I have not yet told you about our opening which was very nice with music, an introduction by our local patchworkshop owner and a sparkling wine reception. Even the town's major was present. I have been a member of this group for about 12 years. Last year we had our 25th exhibition which is quite astonishing for a German group. If you would like to visit us, you will find us in Grünstadt (Rheinland-Pfalz) in the retirement home (near the district court). There is a beautiful quilt to win! (It's not the one on the photo.)
